Story + Stand-Up Level 2

Class Description:

Story + Stand-Up Level 2 dives deeper into narrative, delivery, audience banter and joke-writing sessions. We'll build on the foundations you've learned in Level 1 to strengthen your skills, explore new formats and understand the pathway to your comedic persona. We'll also work on hosting and emceeing skills. With a smaller class size of only 12 students, you will receive personalized guidance and constructive feedback to help you refine your material and create a 10-15 minute solid set.

Class Details:

The class is 14 weeks starting Jan. 7th and ending May 6th. No class on March 25th and April 22nd. It includes:

2 Peer Workouts (Feb. 25th and May 6th)
1 Laugh Lab (Feb. 28th at 7:30PM)
Final Class Showcases (split between May 9th and May 10th at 7:30PM)

Cost is $125/month. It will be 4 payments from the date you register.

Peer Workouts are an opportunity to workout your material in preparation for the Laugh Lab and the Final Performances. Instead of teaching, you will practice a portion of your set in front of your peers and receive feedback.

The Laugh Lab is a performance similar to an open mic. You will perform in front of a live, paying audience and see how your jokes land in real time, helping you adjust your timing, pacing, delivery, etc. for the Final Performance.

The Final Performance will be 10-15 minutes of material in front of your friends, family and the public. Each performer will be given a unique coupon code for a comp ticket for friends and family and early access to purchase tickets before the general public. It is first come, first serve and the show will sell out.
