The Monoscene is a one act improvised play that takes place in a single location and unfolds in real time without edits or scene changes. This class challenges experienced improvisers to create rich, sustained stories by relying on strong relationships, grounded choices, and patient discovery. Students will develop skills in:

• Character development and emotional commitment
• Group storytelling and ensemble awareness
• Pacing, pattern recognition, and callbacks
• Active listening and sustained scene work

• Overcoming the crescendo

The Monoscene is one of the best ways to strengthen the core skills that elevate every longform format.

*Must have completed Longform Level 2: The Show Blueprint or get the instructor's permission.
